Summary
Kerby Music is a modern music school offering various instruments and vocal lessons to students aged 4 and up. Ixora developed the brand from the ground up, positioning Kerby Music as a fun but serious music school. We created the full identity, backend systems, social content, and classroom tools to support a smooth launch. In just one school term, Kerby Music reached 75% of its student goal and welcomed a second instructor, with branding that feels both professional and full of soul.

Kerby Music is Blenheim’s newest music school, offering lessons in piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, and vocals. With plenty of competition in town, the goal was to launch strong and stand apart. This project was a little different: Ixora built Kerby Music from the ground up, not just in brand and marketing, but in operations too.

We created everything from the visual identity to a Notion dashboard for lesson tracking, student intake forms, invoice and report templates, and a clean, easy-to-manage website. By the end of Term 1, Kerby Music had welcomed 11 students. At the start of Term 2, that number grew to 16, and a new vocal teacher joined the team.

Most of all, I’m proud of the tone we struck. The brand is professional but not pretentious, rooted in fundamentals yet full of soul.
